ASTM B163 N08825 Extruded Finned Tube for Seawater Cooling Heat Exchangers

Extruded finned tubes manufactured with ASTM B163 / ASME SB163 UNS N08825 (Incoloy 825) base material are engineered for highly corrosive seawater and marine cooling environments. The metallurgical bonding between the aluminum fin and the nickel-iron-chromium alloy tube ensures excellent heat transfer efficiency while maintaining long-term resistance to chloride-induced corrosion, pitting, and stress corrosion cracking.

This product is widely used in seawater-based cooling systems where conventional stainless steels are insufficient due to aggressive chloride exposure and fluctuating salinity conditions.

It's hot and humid here, and our old wrap-on tubes used to rust like crazy. Switched to your extruded ones—the aluminum fin covers the steel pipe perfectly, so corrosion shouldn't be an issue.

No corrosion issues so far, though we're running below dew point carefully. Installation was straightforward—tube sheets lined up, ends clean, rolling into the header went smooth.

Quality is top-tier, and the price is very competitive compared to others. Most importantly, the SA249 TP304 wall thickness is uniform and the welding looks beautiful.
