The High Frequency Welded (HFW) Finned Tube combining an ASTM A213 TP347H stainless steel base tube with a Carbon Steel (CS) fin is an advanced heat transfer component designed for highly corrosive and high-temperature environments. By utilizing high-frequency resistance welding, the carbon steel fin is metallurgically bonded to the TP347H base tube. This bimetallic combination perfectly balances superior high-temperature creep resistance inside the tube with cost-effective, high-efficiency thermal conductivity on the outside, making it an ideal choice for heavy industrial heat recovery systems.

The exceptional performance of this finned tube relies on its unique bimetallic structure and advanced manufacturing process:


  • Base Tube (ASTM A213 TP347H): TP347H is a high-carbon austenitic stainless steel stabilized by Niobium (Nb). It provides exceptional resistance to intergranular corrosion and high-temperature oxidation, ensuring the safe flow of high-pressure, high-temperature internal fluids.


  • Fin Material (Carbon Steel / CS): Commercial grade carbon steel is selected for the fins due to its excellent thermal conductivity and formability, providing maximum extended surface area for heat exchange at a competitive cost.


  • Attachment / Welding Process (HFW): Unlike mechanically embedded fins, we use High Frequency Resistance Welding (HFRW). A high-frequency current melts the fin base and the outer surface of the TP347H tube simultaneously, forging them together under pressure. This creates a 100% metallurgical bond with zero thermal contact resistance, eliminating the risk of fin loosening even under severe thermal cycling.
